This Valentines day I set up my Red Tent at a wonderful event called "One Billion Rising" a global dance revolution taking a stand against violence against women. I attended and wrote about this event a couple of years ago and was fortunate to be asked to set up an altar for women to come and let go of anything that they needed to let go of so they could move forward in their lives. It was beautiful to be able to create this space under the fig trees with the wind billowing the sides of the tent. There were many women who came to enjoy the tent. Some who had never heard of a Red Tent before and others who attend regularly. I am always so touched and happy to see women come into the space and let down their guards, relax, take deep breaths and feel into what sacred space is. What does it feel like to let yourself be nurtured? What does it feel like to love yourself enough to allow yourself to be loved and nurtured? I think that's the biggest message from valentines day. Forget romantic love. It comes and goes and needs more that one day to be sustained. But what if we took Valentines day and made it about reminding ourselves to commit to radical self love? Loving ourselves with all of our wounds. Loving ourselves fully and completely and knowing that we are enough, we are wonderful and we are love. Tonight is the dark moon and I shall be burning away all that has been let go. The beautiful women who came to the tent and wrote out their intentions will have them released to the earth. And as the moon slips into her newness, we can set our intentions for the new cycle. I am letting of of any feeling of not being enough and I am setting the intention to love myself enough to ensure my needs are met. What will you be letting go of? What intentions will you set for this cycle?
with love sweet sisters, with love. xxx

You were ALWAYS "enough" - maybe we didn't express it.
